Purvakarma the first stage, comprises essential preliminary procedures for preparing the body to unload stored toxins. The treatments help to loosen Ama (toxins) and move it out to the deep structures into the gastrointestinal tract, where Panchakarma's cleaning therapies can then eliminate it. Pradhanakarma is the second stage and includes the main cleansing therapies. Paschatkarma is the final stage and describes the measures employed after the main treatment, such as diet, medicines and daily routine. These five stage therapy aims at correcting the imbalance of the body's Doshas or bio energies (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) in order to maintain their inherent equilibrium and Ama (bio toxins) and theby cause purification leading to all of curative , preventive and rejuvenatory benefits.

Udwartanam is a procedure, in which dry powder of a medicine is rubbed on the body , against the direction of the hair follicles with, in a rigorous manner in order to create friction and increase body temperature. It’s one of the treatment effectively used in the weight management programmes. It gives an ample opportunity to work over the local area of fat deposition [1. Ruksha Udwartanam - Dry friction type. 2. Snigdha Udwartanam - Wet friction type. ] (Udawrtanam kaphaharam medaso pravilaayanam! Sthirikaranam angaanaam, twak prasaad karam param!! Vagh-Bhatta) ie The Procedure pacifies kapha, melts down the fat, Stabilises the body parts and provides nutrition to the skin.
Pizichil is beautiful combination of two classical Ayurvedic treatments, Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation). The whole body is subjected to streams of lukewarm medicated oil (3+ liter) with simultaneous soft massage in seven postures to build up immunity and fight rheumatic diseases, arthritis, paralysis, sexual weakness, neurological disorders, blood pressure, and nervous weakness and helps to arrest the ageing process.
Njavarakizhi is a procedure wherein small cotton cloth boluses are filled with cooked Njavara rice and massaged over the body after a liberal application of medicated oil. The rice used is cooked in cow's milk and herbal decoction. The boluses are then dipped in the same mixture and applied all over the body to induce sudation (sweat). It enhances physical consistency, strengthens the nervous system and improves the overall appearance of the skin and cures neurological disorders, rheumatism, arthritis and malnutrition of limbs.
Elakizhi =Pathrapotali-First the body is massaged with medicated oils. The body is then subjected to exude profusely through a massage with boluses of chopped and fried leaves of specific medicinal herbs after dipping in advised medicated oils. This is used to cure arthritis, Spondylosis, back pain, sports injuries and for all other soft tissue inflammations
Podikizhi =Choorna Swedam- body is subjected to exude profusely after a thorough massage with warm boluses of herbal powders tied up in cotton cloth for curing 'Kapha Vata' predominant conditions of arthritis, back pain, paralysis, muscular pains etc.
Sirodhara-Luke warm specific herbal oil is poured in a small continuous stream onto the foreheadfrom a container moving like pendulum, while receiving a gentle massage on the head. To rejuvenates and revitalizes the body and mind, relieves stress and strain, slows the aging process and has curative effect for paralysis, insomnia, depression, anxiety, hypertension and other neurological malfunctions Ksheeradhara-herbal milk is poured over the forehead or over the whole body to remove headache of Vata and Pitta predominance, insomnia and mental tension. TAKRA or buttermilk is used to relieve insomnia, depression and other stress related problems
Sirovasthi -cap is fitted on the head and suitable medicated oil is filled 1 inch above hair base and made to retain. Massage and fomentation of head and neck is done prior to the procedure. Prescribed for treating paralysis, insomnia, depression etc.
Greevavasthi-specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured over the neck and retained inside the black gram paste boundary for the required duration – Results -cleans and enriches the blood, builds and maintains strong muscle and connective tissues and lubricates the joints keeping them flexible and pain free ..Kadivasthi -specially prepared warm herbal oil is poured over the lower back and retained inside the black gram paste boundary for the required duration . Effects : alleviates lower back conditions like Lumbar Spondylosis, Inter vertebral disc prolapsed, Lumbago (low back ache) and Sciatica. Urovasthi -done on the chest for treating chronic Cough, Bronchitis, and Bronchial Asthma
Kashaya Dhara -whole body is subjected to streams of lukewarm special herbal decoction with simultaneous soft massage. It is not only very relaxing and rejuvenating but cures various skin disorders. In dhanya-amla dhara instead of herbal decoction, medicated liquid prepared from Grain and is very effective in reducing body weight.
Lepam medicated herbal powder is mixed with suitable medium to make a paste and is applied all over the body. Very effective in Psoriasis, Pimples, Pigmentation on skin, Arthritis with swelling & pain, injuries and skin infections.
Netratharpanam -medicated ghee is retained in a reservoir made over the eyes with black gram paste. This therapy will have a cooling effect on irritated and stressed eyes.
Netraprakshalanam-herbal decoction is made to flow from the medial canthus to lateral canthus of the eye thereby cleaning the eye.
Anjanam-special herbal paste is applied to the eye like a coryillium. followed by putting eye drops and preceeded by washing eyes with herbal decoction
Pichu -thick layer of cotton wool soaked with warm medicated oil is applied over the affected area., recycled periodically to make it warm. Effective for degenerative and painful problems like back pain, Osteo-arthritis, Spondylosis, injuries
Ksheeradhoomam-application of suitable medicated oil on the face, neck and chest. The face and neck are then subjected to exude/sweat profusely through steam generated from a combination of cow's milk and herbal decoctions as it is effective for facial paralysis, trigeminal neuralgia, pimples and other skin problems.
Upanaham -application of herbal paste over the affected area, covering the applied paste with medicinal herbal leaves and bandaging over that with cotton cloth. to relieve pain, swelling and to nourish the tissues
Nasya-medicated oils /decoctions /fresh juices /powder are instilled through both the nostrils; preceded by facial massage and fomentation and is very useful to cure conditions like Sinusitis, Headache, Migraine, Cervical Spondylosis, Frozen shoulders, premature greying & falling of hairs etc.
Steam Bath -gentle application of warm herbal oil is first done over the body and then made to sit/ lie inside a steam chamber that lets out herbal steam from medicinal herbs so that body seats/perspires profusely, opening all the pores in the body and thereby removing all wastes and toxins out. A great therapy for toning and giving the skin a special glow
